Statement of Teaching Philosophy As a student, I have observed that the best teachers were those who cared the most about teaching. This passion is one of the single most important components of effective teaching as it leads to thorough preparation, continuous evolution of teaching skills, and the pleasure of watching students learn. The amount of time that a teacher puts into preparation directly translates to how the students learn. I have a Bachelor's degree in History and an Associate's in Process Technology. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. I possess excellent math skills and took statistics in college. I enjoy helping others and feel I am a good fit for this position.
I do not have a specific teaching style. Everyone is different, so one particular type of teaching style may not be as effective as another. In order to be effective, I think it is important to recognize the students strengths and weaknesses before embarking on a certain learning path.

I believe that every student can meet his or her potential provided that the subject matter is presented in a way that makes sense to them and that any material can be related through the right medium. I do not adhere to any particular teaching method; rather I adapt to the student and his or her individual learning style.
