No two people are alike, so my teaching style is to find out what a person's style of understanding is, and to frame my teaching around that. Some people need to hear it out loud, some need to write, some need a picture. In whichever case, I consider the material to be learned once the student can explain it back to me.

A Little Bit About Me...

Although I listed only 2 years of prior instruction, I have taught over 5 years of business/finance related material. On a school level basis, I personally have a child with ADHD that I tutor at home. I am especially proficient in English/Language Arts. I ascribe to Gardner's 8 Stages of Intelligence theory, which purports the belief that every student is gifted, intelligent and capable of learning in a manner that conducive to their own unique style. As a teacher, I use myself as a tool to help facilitate the learning process.
I have a social work background which, in my work has always been integrated with some component of teaching, both in and out of the classroom. I can teach most K-12 subjects, college prep courses and provide tutoring services including assessment and curriculum development.
