I have worked as a teacher of English as a Second Language at two elementary level schools in Paris, France, as a private French tutor, and as an elementary writing/composition tutor. I am currently working on my final year to receive my bachelor's degree at Illinois Wesleyan University.

I have had a passion for education since I was a third grade student. I always thought I wanted to be a teacher "when I grew up." I earned a BA in psychology and started a Master's program in elementary education. Due to personal circumstances, however, I was not able to complete the program. I then taught early childhood and continued to volunteer in schools. I now work in the education department at Bradley University. I was 14 years old when my younger brother was born, so I had the wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand that teaching requires a great deal of patience, knowledge, and flexibility.
