A Little Bit About Me...

I work with each student in the way that is best for their particular learning styles. I prefer a laid-back approach to learning, allowing students to understand at their own pace and make connection on their own. This does not mean, however, that I do not have high expectations for my students.
I hold two bachelor degrees, a BA in French Language and Literature and a BS in Microbiology. I also have a certificate in African Studies and a minor in Chemistry. I tutored fellow students regularly in Spanish, French, and German all 4 years of college, as I studied in Europe and Mexico, and was placed in advanced college levels my first semester in college. In the garment industry I used Spanish daily with subcontractors. In the hospitality industry I was used as a greeter for foreign language conventions, and to interpret foreign language E-mails. I spent 6 weeks as a 3rd grade Spanish student teacher in college, and the students were sad I was leaving-they loved Spanish while I was there.
