A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in strict adherence to deadlines and in follow up with students when I give assignments. Study sessions for the ACT will include timed sections and basic review of subject matter. I am kind and intuitive and I will spend the extra time it takes to get your student performing at their best for these tests!
I received high scores on the PSAT and ACT while in high school. I can provide proof of these if necessary. I received a 31 on the ACT (I would need to verify this, but I believe it is correct). I can teach students how to prepare for any test, including the ACT, GMAT, and SAT. I graduated from BYU Idaho in the top 5% of my class. I taught an intro class for incoming freshmen for 1 credit hour. I taught a LEED test prep class with 100% pass rate for all attendees. I like to have visuals. They are important no matter what age. i use powerpoint, pictures, think of stories, and try to get the students involved as much as they can. People either learn, by seeng, doing, or both, so it is good to teach using all of the learning tools.
As a business major I learned alot about the importance of language and communication. I took classes in english, and writing. I was a tutor for over 100 students for 2 years in finance and taght a class twice a week on Microsoft Excel. In high school I volunteered at an elementary school to help children with ADD and behavioral issues for 3 trimesters. I was a staff member at Cedar Badge, a week long leadership training course for scouts, teaching leadership skills.
