As a teacher of urban students and students who have experienced sever trauma (Hillside), I have gained a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by children today such as home environment and poverty. My teaching style is very structured and includes various modes of instruction. I try to utilize cooperative learning strategies when ever possible. Students can learn alot from each other both intellectually as well as socially. I did my undergraduate work at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam & my graduate work at Syracuse University. I spent one year teaching 8th grade chorus and music in the Churchville Chili Jr. High School, in Churchville NY.
