I studied post secondary in high school and graduated in the top ten of my class. I was on the deans list every year of my college career. I was a teachers aid at the University of Minnesota for three years in the anatomy department. I was a the lead embalmer for the University and worked for the Anatomy bequest program. I was licensed in mortuary science in 2007 and have been working as a funeral director and Retail manager for the past three years. My teaching philosophy is simple; I believe in providing a safe and positive atmosphere for students to learn. In creating this positive atmosphere I motivate my students by showing them that they can indeed, be successful. I help them move toward success by teaching content, but also building trust with the students. I am approachable and have a positive attitude; I take the time to learn each student’s interests which helps me relate to them.
