A Little Bit About Me...

I studied post secondary in high school and graduated in the top ten of my class. I was on the deans list every year of my college career. I was a teachers aid at the University of Minnesota for three years in the anatomy department. I was a the lead embalmer for the University and worked for the Anatomy bequest program. I was licensed in mortuary science in 2007 and have been working as a funeral director and Retail manager for the past three years.
I believe that the purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide them to the point at which they become an independent learner. The position obviously requires excellent written communications skills. Having recently completed an AAS degree in Information Systems Management, with a focus in Network Administration and Network Security/Computer Forensics, one of the comments frequently received from my instructors was in reference to my technical writing skills. The recent AAS degree required extensive submission of APA-style formatted academic papers, so I have a high comfort level and significant experience base in that area. I have always felt that my written communications skills were a very marketable asset, and I am hoping that your firm will find that to be true.
