While attending Texas Tech University I was employed by the Marsha Sharp Center for Student Athletes as a tutor and worked with athletes in the following subject areas: English, Spanish, Art History, History, and Political Science. I was also a summer school teacher for a non-profit organization called Shalom Readers and led a classroom of children between 6 and 8 years of age. I have a more traditional style of teaching-see, say hear and write. This is how I achieved success with both my foreign language students, and my learning disabled students at the Clinic. I also volunteer in my grandson's classroom, and work along with the teacher and the Title ! teacher.
