Fuller Learning. The holistic aproach to tutoring

I can adapt my teaching style to auditory, visual or hands-on type learning. I try to create a relaxed and fun (silly for the little ones) atmosphere where learning will be fun and memorable, because I believe that if you enjoy it - you'll remember it. All students will be given a pre-test prior to instruction so that I can decern if the students problem is one of cognative development or simply gaps in the learning process. I try to help the student relate their learning to real world experiences.

Most recently, I was a high school math teacher for 3 years specializing in PreAlgebra, Algebra I, Geometry, and Astronomy. I taught regular, advanced, and special education classes. I strongly believe that students grow and excel when they are given challenges that are just beyond their current level of understanding. A Little Bit About Me...

While I do not have a bachelor's degree, through my training as a certified veterinary technician and subsequent employment in both clinical and shelter settings, I have gained strong aptitudes for science and writing skills. During my employment, I developed a strong love for any opportunity to teach and share anything and everything I was able.
I believe that my teaching style is one of patience, encouragement, along with being laid-back, considerate and easy-going. I want to take the time to make sure a subject is well understood.
