I have volunteered in the Clark Shawnee School System for past 3 years tutoring/mentoring kids with learning disabilities in reading skills. Last school year I was hired as a paid tutor in the school system tutoring a Chinese child (ESL student) in grammar/vocabulary/reading/spelling. This year I will be assisting with math as well. I retired 3 years ago from a State of Ohio agency who worked primarily with folks with both physical and mental health disabilities after 30 plus years of service. These included adults as well as transition youth. I worked there from the time I was 18 years old.
