I completed a BA in English from Union University in 2003. I tutored and proofread for other university students and contributed most of the writing for the yearbook my senior year. I began working in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions upon graduation and have been responsible for editing and revising the recruitment material we mail out each fall. I also worked as a substitute teacher during my time in college. I have not been employed yet just as tutor, but tutoring is a perfect culmination of my skills and love for students.
The challenge of teaching is the constant upheaval of technique due to the myriad of personalities and backgrounds which make up the typical classroom. I have a BA in History/English from the University of Mississippi. I have been a teacher for the past year in Tate County Mississippi. This experience has allowed me to develop a teaching style to reach all types of learners. I have also been a tutor in English on a senior level. I have training with children of all learning styles. One of my students was also ADD/ADHD. I have achieved and maintained a 3.0 in all English and History courses at the college level. I have been operating the bookeeping and business side of a volunteer organization for the last three years.
