I've been drawing and creating visually since age 4, and doing graphic design since I was in Jr. High, pasting together flyers with hand-drawn-typography and photocopied images. I have over 20 years of professional industry experience in the world of graphic design, and I've been teaching at the high school and college level for the past six years.

I have a very relaxed, personal approach to instruction. I like to set clear expectations for my students as well as for myself and help them learn at a comfortable yet challenging pace. I have over three decades of graphic design experience, and I've been teaching graphic design at the college and high school level for the past 7 years, both in a classroom setting and in mentoring programs. More About This Tutor...

I started teaching tennis to juniors at the age of 16. I enjoyed that very much. For close to 10 years I taught at a country club in Connecticut. During my time there I did not focus on winning, but our record went from 0-7 to 7-0. I attribute this to the power of positive teaching. After I completed Loyola University MD, I went into B2B Corporate sales, where I was successful, but my passion remained with teaching. Recently I was a PE Coach at a school, and I started an after school program for tennis and golf for the children.
My teaching style is modeled after the Princeton Method, which is the way that I was taught to teach tennis. The Princeton method focuses on the positive. So instead of saying "don't skip the hesitation for a period mark", I would say "remember to hesitate in between sentences".
