A Little Bit About Me...

I've been writing and thinking about writing since I learned to read. I have, in the past decade or so, finally gotten serious enough to start publishing and teaching, while establishing my post-graduate education in order to increase my capabilities. I am a current Honors Student at Eastern Kentucky University, studying both Spanish and the Visual Arts. I love piano and schoolwork

I have been a math, science, history, and music tutor since high school. I conduct for a church choir and have taken piano lessons for many years. I a currently taking advanced lessons with my college professor. Being a part of many organizations in high school has made college a wonderful experience thus far. I was taught how to study and learn to my benefit, and I would love to help a child learn how to appreciate school and/or music.

I love to learn, which is why I love teaching children. Every child learns differently, because of this, teaching is a learning process as well! I believe that students learn best through hands on activities that allow them to internalize the concepts they are struggling with. Whether it is using math manipulatives to understand multiplication and division or using letter tiles to understand consonant blends in reading, hands on activities are the best way to learn.

I feel each child is unique, so their learning style is unique.
