I love the experience of teaching children and seeing the light in their eyes when they understand what they are learning. I believe each child learns in their own way and in their own time. I never really considered myself a teacher as much as just someone who understood something a little better than someone else. To that extent I guess my style is more of helping someone to gain a better understanding of a particular topic or process. Discussion and example as well as some actual hands on tasks will help someone to discover their own potential for understanding and mastering the topic at hand. I want to leave that person with a comfortable feeling of "I can do this!" when faced with having to perform that task on their own.
