First Year Teacher with Extensive Knowledge in Education

I started working as a Redirect Aide in one of my local elementary schools. I worked with students who had emotional and behavioral disorders, special needs students and also regular education students in the elementary level. Second, I was a substitute teacher who took of classrooms in Early Childhood through 12th grade classrooms. Third, I completed my student teaching to obtain my teacher certification. It took place in a 4th grade Mathematics Classroom. And now I am currently a Substitute Teacher at my son's elementary school until I obtain a teaching position for the following school year.

I adapt individual tutoring techniques to each student’s specific needs and learning style. I teach study skills that students can use the rest of their academic career. While attending college I tutored fellow students in Literature, History and Political Science. I was able to help failing students achieve a minimum of passing grades while some excelled to A’s in their class.
