I love teaching because of the feeling of helping someone who is truly struggling in class! I believe that everyone can learn, but some teachers styles don't match up with the students learning style. I am a very patient and considerate person. I am a firm believer that many students can't learn strictly through theory and need to be walked through example problems. Walking through problems gives them a better visualization of what they are trying to solve.

As a student in high school, I always have had a passion for math, as well as a passion to teach. I earned my Associate's Degree in Math Education from Mary Holmes College & went on to pursue my Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State University. Even while pursuing my degrees, I was a Substitute Teacher for the West Point School District for almost 4 years. I then became a Teacher Assistant for the Starkville School District, and now I am a Pre-K Teacher for Oktibbeha COunty School District. As a recent college graduate, I understand the time and commitment it takes to achieve success in school. I earned a bachelor degree in chemistry with a minor in liberal arts. As a member of the chemistry honor society, I tutored students in chemistry during my college career.
