I am a graduate of a major university and have several degrees: BS in Clothing, Merchandising and Textiles, AA in Political and Economic Science, as well as two minors, one in General Business and the other in Communications. They have all enabled me to learn and understand a wide range of different areas: English, math, science, accounting, and writing. Also I am well versed in History. As a graduate of a small junior college I believe one on one teaching gives students the advantage over a large group because the child can receive the necessary attention for learning skills in reading, writing and math. Many children learn differently some are visual learners,some are audio etc. I have been instructed through various techniques in reading with chilldren that will help them achieve a higher reading level of success. I am a hands on person where math is concerned allowing the child to use mannipulatives. Taking time to explain until they understand. In reading we can do shared reading and other techniques.
