My comments on tutoring Ballet : I began taking Ballet when I was two years old (no joke) and continued dancing until I was a senior in college (with the UNC-CH Starheels Dance Company).

I have a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and have two years experience writing for the Daily Tar Heel. I have also completed internships with the local NPR station, WUNC, and with the organization AGRADU (Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda). I am highly organized, responsible, and driven, and am very personable. I work well with children and young adults; I am the oldest of five children and during high school and college, I worked as a dance teacher and nanny. I'm currently working on publishing my first novel.
I am a patient and understanding teacher. I enjoy fostering close relationships with my students so that I can cultivate my methods to best suit their learning style.

A Little Bit About Me...

I myself am a visual and auditory learner, so I am very open to all types of teaching styles. I find that people learn better when several avenues of learning are available for a subject. Also repetition is a very important device for making knowledge permanent. I like to bring a fun and light atmosphere to learning.
While working on my undergrad I was given the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a freshman college level film theory and design class. During this opportunity I was responsible for grading the daily work of our students, as well as being a resource for the students design projects. I earned two bachelor degrees from the University of North Carolina in December of 2007. From there, I chose to move to Massachusetts to participate in a ground breaking fellowship at MATCH Charter Public High School. I chose this alternate route to receiving teaching certification because of the classroom experience it provided me.
