A Little Bit About Me...

I have really enjoyed teaching through coaching. Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with all different types of athletes who each learn things a little bit differently. Because of this, I have been able to practice presenting information in lots of different ways in order to get all types of learners to understand the material.
As a student-athlete at Illinois State University, I learned many invaluable skills. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Physics as well as minors in both Mathematics and Exercise Science. A Little Bit About Me...

I have had practical experience working as a microbiology level I technician for a major pharmaceutical company. My primary duties included many of the bench chemistry and laboratory biology techniques from college. I have completed one year of post bachelor's education at Illinois State University and am currently one semester shy of obtaining my type 09 high school teaching certification. While at ISU, I was a graduate level teaching assistant and was responsible for teaching several lab sections of Biology 101. I have documented over 100 clinical hours in a high school setting and am currently serving as a member of the Illinois Army National Guard.

A Little Bit About Me...

A Little Bit About Me...

During my graduate program at SIU, I become a teaching assistant and fell in love with teaching. I taught undergraduate laboratory in microbiology and bacteriology to undergraduate students. I have earned a bachelor's in Biology from Augustana and am finishing writing my thesis to obtain my Master's in Biological Sciences from SIU. Since I have written and critiqued my thesis, research papers, lab reports, and other science papers, I have gained much knowledge in grammar. I am a student that has a drive of excellence. I graduated from Northern Ill. Univ in 2010, as cum laude. I hold a B.S. in BioChemistry. I have experience as a tutor, which I obtained while as a student at NIU. I would tutor other students with in the chemistry, math, and biology departments.
I love teaching. I us a guiding method of teaching. Because I believe that students learn the most when they do the work themselves, but sometimes they need someone there to motivate them or to guide them in the right direction. I feel this works in group studies also, but, the difference being is that all the student will be involved in a group discussion.
