I have had the opportunity to serve students of many ages, academic levels, and backgrounds. Over the past four years I’ve enjoyed teaching in the Petal School District on the high school level. I taught and tutored students within the general education setting, as well as within the special education classroom. Career Preparation, Reading and English are subjects I have experience in mostly. Before entering the public school setting, I often had opportunities to tutor and interact with students from various schools and grade levels. As an educator, I nurture my students and provide an emotionally, stable atmosphere while maintaining high expectations for all. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education. I loved working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but it was extremely hard finding a job doing that in my area. Due to that fact, I started tutoring as many kids from the local schools as much as possible and I loved doing it.
