My comments on tutoring Grammar : I worked as a teacher in a private school for children with dyslexia. My position was as a Language Fundamentals Teacher and I was trained using the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching. This is a multi-sensory approach and very highly regarded as a successful approach for children with dyslexia and reading disabilities. It includes tutoring for reading, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and other skills related to English basics. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development from Vanderbilt University with a specialization in Special Education and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Both of my educational careers involved extensive training related to infant and child development, special needs and high-risk infant, child, adolescent, and family populations, and internships within numerous developmental centers, schools, and hospitals.

Hands on- creative-student centered learning!

I think that a lot of learning happens by students being actively engaged in what they are learning. I try to get/make hands on activities for students to learn.
