My experience as a teacher has been gained through my work at Easter Seals, a pediatric physical therapy center, for which I have taught many children skills in life, communicating, and other various skills. I attended the University of Northern Iowa as an undergraduate where I received a bachelor’s degree in biology in May 2009. Beginning in August I will be attending Des Moines University where I will be pursuing a career as a doctor. Aside from having a passion for learning, I also greatly enjoy helping others. One way I have done this is tutoring students in inorganic and organic chemistry, as well as anatomy and physiology. I believe the best way to learn is peer-to-peer learning. As an auto-didact I have the study skills necessary to regurgitate information as taught by the current institutional models. This is an uncreative and highly unnatural way to learn. There's a reason no major discovery was made in a classroom -- true innovation, discovery and learning is an organic process.
