Chemistry/ Health Administration Experience

I have a BS in Chemistry. I am a very analytical person, science and math come very easily. I scored a 1400 on the SAT (750 Math) so I am eager to help those who want to improve on their score. I am in my last semester of obtaining a Master of Health Administration degree so I have the ability help anyone with the business/administrative side of the specialized industry. I have played guitar since the 7th grade and have performed for many charity concerts during the beginning of my undergraduate career. I strongly support the belief that all children are capable of learning if given sufficient opportunity. As a classroom teacher often facing as many as 37 students at one time, it was difficult to provide the appropriate learning environment for many of these children's needs. Through small group tutoring, however, the right learning environment can be created if the tutor fosters a positive relationship with the student. I believe that it is my responsibility to cater and adjust my style to that which works best for the student with whom I am working. In a classroom setting this can be especially difficult, but with tutoring it is much more do-able. I have a lot of training as a Results Coach, which stresses working with the strenghths your client provides you. The exact same process applies towards my students.
My experiences as an educator encompass a fairly wide circle. I have a good amount of knowledge and experience in both athletics and academics. I have coached, taught and tutored students for nearly seventeen years. As an English teacher I have the ability to teach and tutor all aspects of reading and writing skills. I also have worked with students on test taking (primarily the SAT's), study skills, organization, and various other pertinent skills.
