I am a college graduate of University of West Florida’s college of Building Construction and Engineering Technology. I have taken calculus 1 through 3, statics, dynamics, strength of materials, thermodynamics and many other math involved courses. I am not a complicated person and like to keep things basic and easy. Math is not hard, it is just simply following an accumulation of rules to get to an answer. From my experience as a tutor, confidence plays a big factor in the student’s ability to learn. When I am with a student, I constantly make sure that I am encouraging him/her and letting them know that they are doing a great job. Typically when I tutor a student, I go over the basic concepts and go over problems. I teach them what to look for and techniques used to approach any problem. Once they have built up that confidence in identifying an approach to a problem, I let them do one on their own.
