My comments on tutoring American History : Have a very good understanding of American History through the Civil War. More recent American History can be covered as well but please mention if this is the area of study where help is needed.

I am very patient when it comes to my teaching style. I try to use techniques that are compatible with my student's learning style. I never get angry.

I believe that by letting the student try to answer the problem by them self is the best way of learning. I will try to guide them down the right path, but even a wrong answer can teach you a lesson. I also believe that practice is the best way to become good at science or math, like a basketball player practice basketball to become better, so must a student.
I am currently writing my thesis in order to finish my Master’s degree in applied physics. My research is on experiment fluid dynamics where I am studying the affects of viscosity on glycerin. Having a Biochemistry degree, I am well trained in science classes. I was also required and excelled in math classes up to Calculus 3. Therefore, math and science are my strong points. Then elbow joint constituents and their relation to each other Then the origin and insertion of the "Brachialis" as well as its nerve and blood supply.... I think this works for almost 70% of students. Some have a special aproach that can be discovered in their response to a general question like "What can you see through this window"? Such an answer could tell wheather they focus on the large image or on the details, wheather they get impressed by colors or movements..etc.
