During my sophomore year I started tutoring for the mathematics department, educating my peers in a wide variety of mathematical topics. This was a very enjoyable experience in which I took pride in my ability to instruct in mathematics such as calculus and statistics. During my junior year I started tutoring computer science on the side, which my students told me I was more proficient at than the college hired tutors. Once a child starts asking questions you know that they are excited about it and want to learn. When teaching my goal is always to get children excited about what they are doing and then proceed from there. All children have different strengths and I try to work from those strengths.
