Issued By - The College of The Ozarks - Work Study Program - Point Lookout, MO. My certification is currently expired in my Elementary Education, but I do hold certification as a Substitute Teacher in the State of MO. I homeschooled two children from preschool through 12th grade graduation and completion of high school. I worked as a full-time instructor of physics, astronomy, and engineering/electronics last summer for Upward Bound, a program that provided additional classwork and guidance to selected high-schoolers who came from low-income families that never before sent a kid to college. I also have one and a half years of experience tutoring introductory physics to early college-level students. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring high school and college students, but I am also willing to work with younger students. As a parent of two school-aged children I have had the oppurtunity to learn about the newest teaching methods employed by teachers at this time. We often work together on math and science. I am currently working on my teaching certification in middle school science, but have always been had excelent aptitude for mathmatics. I also substitute in the Blue Springs, Grain Valley and Fort Osage School district in which I often assist students with work that has been left for them by the teacher, whether it be math, science or english.
