A Little Bit About Me...

I use positive motivation with my students, explaining how subject matter being covered should relate to them and their future successes. I try to link the subjects with current events and how lack of knowledge on specific subjects can cost them either financially or impact their health and well being. For example, when I encounter a senior who is not participating in class, I give them an employment application to fill out, explaining if they have difficulty completing it, they better join the class.
I graduated LSU and was commissioned as an officer in the US Air Force. I completed Transportation Officer courses on vehicle fleet management, commercial transportation, and staff logistics officer training related to airlift terminal management and operations. I like working with high school students with a desire to learn. As a senior member of the Civil Air Patrol, working with the cadets was a pleasure. Their abilities ranged from marginal to excellent, but every cadet had a strong desire to learn and excel in every thing they did in Civil Air Patrol. We had several cadets go the military academies and become excellent officers and pilots.
Thirty five years experience in Information Technology with positions ranging from Programmer/Analyst to Consultant to Manager. Five years engineering experience in Flight Test, Aircraft Stability and Flight Controls, and Aircraft Structures. Thirteen years in the USMC Reserves as an aircraft mechanic and Quality Assurance Representative.
