After graduating with a degree in elementary education from Goshen College, I have gained many valuable experiences in the educational field. I may not articulate as much, but I want the student to see that I am giving my time to serve their needs and not my own. Loosely speaking, I am also a proponent of multiple intelligences. The creative teacher can usually identify a way to relate material and content using a methodology that connects. My teaching style is based in facts. After graduating with honors from Grove City College, I took a position as a writer for a large nonprofit organization in Washington, DC. While working as a professional writer, I dedicated my free time to tutoring at a center for urban kids.
Learning must be fun, especially in a tutoring context. In my previous tutoring experiences, I always attempted to turn tasks into games or opportunities for creative expression.
