I find that positive reinforcement of previously acquired skills encourages further learning. I also use creative everyday examples to help students understand topics better. I am a senior in the Education program at Appalachian State University. As an Elementary Education major, I have worked closely with children from many age levels. I have participated in an after-school tutor/mentor program at Appalachian State in 2008. In 2009, I completed two internships while in the Education Program.
