A Little Bit About Me...

My one to one teaching style is tailored to adapt to the students learning style. However, my experience shows that keeping the student active during the learning process promotes a better learning. I use Microsoft Excel during my lessons. I create formulas, graphs, etc. and the Excel spreadsheet and ask the student to enter the data so that he/she can see how things change with different entries. This interactive process increased the student interest, kept them focused and helped them to hold the knowledge in many instances.

As you can tell, from all of my degrees, I value education. It is a passion of mine to help explain complex subject matter to students that don't find the subject matter easy. I have found that strong students are very easy to teach. If you give them a problem, they will just work at it until they learn it. Weaker students aren't always weak, sometimes, they may just be different kinds of learners. I am Paine College graduate. I earned a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2006. While at Paine College I took variety of science classes including organic chemistry, atmospheric science, and cell biology. Since graduating, I have spent two years as a high school math teacher.
