I have a Florida (K-6) Certificate and Middle School Certification for English and Social Studies. I am an educator with many talents, which include excellent oral and written communication, creativity, interpersonal skills, and computer skills. As a student at Rollins College, I had the opportunity to serve as a peer mentor to a group of first-year students. I also worked in the writing center and as an editor for a literary journal. My studies in anthropology and experience writing an honors thesis on homelessness taught me to think critically and holistically. I have worked as a summer camp counselor for teenagers (June- August 2008 and 2009) and then as co-director of the camp (2010), a role in which I worked with campers ages six to seventeen. I know proven strategies to help students master basic skills and more complex skills, using their style of learning.
