I have always wanted to be a teacher. My parents were both educators and instilled me with the desire to value an education. Being a Metropolitan State graduate, I understand first hand what an impact that a good education can have on urban students. During my own education, I strived to set an example for them by maintaining a 4.0 GPA in all my courses and successfully completing student teaching in the midst of having difficult circumstances myself, a disability. I have a very modifiable style of teaching, meaning I cater to the student or students. I quickly learn the curriculum and can find multiple ways to teach it. This allows me to utilize the students major styles of learning and develop the areas where they may struggle. Teaching this way helps mold a complete student who is able to understand themselves and can learn from any lesson.
