I have earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Elementary Education and BA in Special Education-MR, LD, ED, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of children with special needs. In addition, I have learned extensive reading skills due to the extended course work I have taken. During the past 8 years I have tutored students in reading skills and comprehension strategies.
I love working with children. I believe that all child can learn. Some may need different way or even different materials to find academic success. I think of myself as a facilitator in the child"s learning. This is a learner-centered teaching style that is very compatible with teaching children of all ages.

I love to tutor, and I am very knowledgeable about English and French. I believe I am effective as a tutor due to my patient and reinforcing personality, and I communicate my love of learning to my students. I use a variety of creative approaches to language learning which I have developed over the years. I believe in the inherent worth and potential of every student. I don't know whether this is entirely correct since I haven't had a personal encounter with such a heavenly body, but I consider myself to be a kind and patient instructor who also loves for her students to learn. Since each child/adult learns in a different way, I believe that it is important to pay attention to individual learning styles. I am creative, resourceful, and constructive.
