A Little Bit About Me...

My goal in elementary school was to be a marine biologist from the first time I went to Sea World. It was not until my last semester of my undergrad that I decided to change directions for my career and enter the world of teaching. I was a lab assistant in college and tutored chemistry, organic, biology, trigonometry, etc. I draw much of my inspiration from a summer internship conducting whale research off the coast of New Hampshire. It was a priceless experience that I will never forget. It was also the most educational experience of my life, so far. I am in my second year of teaching 7th grade science and have no regrets in career choice. I believe science is a passion that has to be taught, not a subject.

I have always wanted to be a teacher and love working with children of all ages. My areas of study were middle school science and social studies but I believe in my academic ability to help children across many aspects of learning.
