I get to know the children first then get them involved in the assingment with eagerness and excitement. Then the children are to go and show off their knowledge. That way they will know it much better than before. The knowlege is input into the student's brain, and then I have them output the knowledge; therefore it is being repeated, and instilled more and more into their brain everytime. I love to see children eager to learn, and even better try. I push the students who are struggling so that they will not get stepped on. I motivate them, and have them motivate theirselves and others around them. I give the students materials that they already know, and then start building from there. My belief is every student has a chance to succeed. I use positive motivation with my students, explaining how subject matter being covered should relate to them and their future successes. I try to link the subjects with current events and how lack of knowledge on specific subjects can cost them either financially or impact their health and well being. For example, when I encounter a senior who is not participating in class, I give them an employment application to fill out, explaining if they have difficulty completing it, they better join the class. I believe that all children require a different method of teaching. My goal is to find the key to help them become motivated in learning. Sometimes children predetermine that they are not good at an individual subject. If you can find a way to make this subject interesting to them you have solved half the problem. I try to discover why the child is having problems in a certain area and solve this first. All children can learn and grow in their education with the right motivation.
