In this approach, students who find writing challenging often discover that an emphasis on writing freely and creatively along with a focus on critical thinking skills, is the fastest way to improved written content and technique. I offer 16 years of English writing instructional experience. I have taught a diverse range of students, both in terms of abilities and cultural backgrounds. Instructional areas include English as a second language, developmental concerns, creative writing and poetry (I am a published poet), professional and technical writing. I have also provided SAT and AP preparation tutoring.
