Throughout high school I was a teaching assistant at Iolani during the summer for English Language Learners. While attending Harvard University, I volunteered in a after school program in Boston's Chinatown community teaching second and third graders from low income families. There I helped them with homework and developed projects with fellow counselors to enrich their learning. Throughout my whole learning career I have tutored many of my own friends primarily in math and science.
I prioritize learning the fundamentals. I also teach study habits and strive to help the student so that they can continue to excel without my help.

I have tutored privately various students at the college level for short terms in elementary physics(<200 level), chemistry(<400 level), mathematics(<500 level), and biology(<300 level). I have also tutored part time in English and SAT preperation for nearly a year (<12 hours a week) with certified tutoring services, a small company here in Honolulu. I have earned a B.S. in mathematics from a university with extensive coursework in the hard sciences and liberal arts which prepare a well rounded science teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate from the University of Denver with a degree in Biology and French, as well as a minor in Chemistry. My undergraduate education comprised of upper level courses in Biology, Chemistry, French as well as Math and Physics. I recently left Denver, CO where I was a Lab Researcher at National Jewish Health, reviewing anti-inflammatory treatment in cystic fibrosis.
