I chose the field of education because I believe that every child deserves to be educated in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where they can strive to meet their maximum potential. Every student is capable of learning and succeeding with the right differentiated instruction that meets their individual needs. I believe in a hands on approach to teaching where students are encouraged to discuss their learning process in a classroom that is filled with rich discussions and free of ridicule. More About This Tutor...

I have tutored Music Theory, Aural Skills, and Music History for two and a half years at Adelphi University. My G.P.A. in Music Theory was a 3.4 and my G.P.A. for Aural Skills was a 4.0. I was recommended by the former Department Chair-Person to tutor a student with special needs. I have also taught lessons primarily for trumpet, but also for tuba, trombone, euphonium, baritone, and French horn.
My teaching style could be described as fun, supportive, caring, and disciplined. By disciplined I don't mean tough, hard, or mean. Students are assigned work that they are expected to complete, although it won't be too time consuming. All work is intended to improve the student's abilities in the field that I will be tutoring them. Improvement is encouraged and positively reinforced.
