I believe in talking through problems using visual ideas and simplified concepts. I prefer teaching with graphics and concepts, and then relating them to formulas and equations. While I expect hard work from my students, I also have the patience to help them understand at their own pace.

As an undergraduate at Muhlenberg College, I had the opportunity to serve as a peer tutor in mathematics to incoming freshmen. I enjoyed the experience of helping other students succeed.
