My comments on tutoring Writing : Masters Degree in English. Experienced college level instructor. Extensive hands-on classroom instuction with first year college students, would be suitable for junior and senior high school instruction as well.

I have a B.A. in English and History from Marquette University in Miwaukee, Wisconsin. Teaching patience and fun learning!

I have a lot of experience teaching children in many areas of study and extra curricular activities such as; swimming, art, English, spelling and reading. I have this experience in a professional classroom setting and at home. I taught an ESL (English as a second language) course to many students who started out knowing no English at all, and I have also been an Au Pair who's main objective was to help the children understand English grammar. A Little Bit About Me...

Pick out what's good and encourage that. It is too easy to focus on the negative. As a writer who understands rejection very well, it has humbled me. Another set of eyes always helps during the editing process. Sometimes a writer just needs to be set on the correct path, and they can do much of the rest from there. Being a parent has also taught me patience, which is something any teacher needs. Also, reading helps you become a better writer. I think when I was younger I didn't want to hear that as much, but it's true.
While I have made a living as a technical writer in the software industry for sixteen years, part of making a life has been through my creative writing.
