My comments on tutoring Elementary Social Studies : I have taught elementary social studies for thirty years in various grades from Kindergarten to sixth grade. Also, I attended extra social studies workshops that were presented through the school district and the International Social Studies Teacher Association.

I have tutored in both Robeson County and Cumberland County for a total of six years. I tutored students in math, reading and science from grades Kindergarten to sixth grade. We also prepared students in grades three through six for the End of the Year test. We taught test taking strategies as well. In addition, I have tutored students that attend college in American Government and World History. I also, tutored in GA for three years. Elementary Social Studies is one of my top subjects! During my Student Teaching, Elementary Social Studies was the lesson that I taught. I worked one-on-one with all the students often, and Social Studies was a top subject. Social Studies is my favorite subject and I love tutoring this subject.

I have a very Hands-On Teaching Style
I have been working with children for the past seven years. Four of those years have included homeschooling pre-school and pre-kindergarten as well as homework help and tutoring the children that I was babysitting. I love tutoring because it allows me to work one-on-one with my students. Tutoring, also, allows me the opportunity to create the ultimate tutoring experience based off of the students learning style and interest.
