Strong emphasis on problem solving as a route to learning in either math or physics, since that's where rubber meets road. I stress that students understand fundamental terms and definitions, since trouble in problem solving and school exams is often rooted in confusion about basic terminology and rules involved in vector math, momentum, etc. Can tutor either one on one or in small groups. The plus side of small groups is that students still get lots of individual attention, but can also tackle group problem solving activities (and I may be able to offer a discounted tutor rate).
