A Little Bit About Me...

I first make learning fun and exciting. As in past experience each child learns diffently and I need to be able to adapt to this. I first see what the level of the child is then work on the next step and help make sure the new level is learned as well as the old level is still maintained.
I have a BS in Child development with a minor in phsychology and I was teaching for Head Start back before I finished my degree. I have since finished and I am looking to expand my range. I love math and it just comes easy for me. I have a background in Engineering and Calculas.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am very determined and driven to complete my education in the field on Psychology and then move on the Medical School. Being a Psychology Major has taught me intensive research and presentation skills and has allowed me to be critical and analytic from a scientific point of view. Also, being a Spanish minor, I have come to be almost fluent in the language, with an extensive background in grammar, comprehension and literature. My teaching style is to discover what each student needs to learn in order to be successful. I teach in a way that is most effective with that student. I have found that students can make rapid progress when they have an opportunity to fill in the gaps of their skills and knowledge. After graduating from the University of Missouri - Columbia with a BS in Mathematics and a BSEd in Secondary Mathematics Education, I have had several opportunities as both classroom teacher and individual tutor for students ranging from middle school through college aged. I have been in the educational field for over 15 years as a tutor, aide, and a classroom teacher. I have a degree in Food and Nutrition which contained many credit hours of science. In fact, my adviser wanted my to minor in Science because of all of my credits. I have taken 12 credit hours of Biology, 12 credit hours of Chemistry, and 9 credit hours of Anatomy and Physiology. All of these courses had laboratory classes, as well as, lectures. I also have a degree in elementary Education. I am currently working on my Masters in Counseling.
