I have taught for the past 4 years at a private, weekend school. I have also tutored high school and college students in various subjects, including: math (Algebra, Calculus), science (Biology, Chemistry), and Spanish. I am currently offering tutoring in the aforementioned subjects. In college, I was a pre-medical student studying Spanish, which is why I tutor those subjects.

I really enjoy tutoring. I love watching the students gain confidence as we work through the problems. I believe my attitude and approach to teaching helps the students. I provide enough understanding to the students but still challenge them. The worst thing you can do, is just give the answers. I especially enjoy working with students who want to learn, and I truly love math. I know that math concepts are especially difficult for many students to grasp. I try to follow the model of my physics advisor, who has an excellent ability to figure out how a student learns best, then adapt his teaching and explanations accordingly. Students are often closer to understanding than they realize, and a different presentation can make a huge difference. I work to improve weak areas and capitalize on strengths for each student.
