GED is one of my top subjects! Taught GED for over 15 years. Assisted students with learning advanced reading skills, writing skills, and math. Saw many of my students progress to college.

I love teaching. I earned my BA before I was old enough to vote. While my classmates were in his/her senior year, I was teaching. Eventually I earned my M.Ed. in Reading, then started School Administration and Adult Education. In all these fields I find similar necessary skills: patience, co-operation among staff and colleagues, knowledge of subject matter, communication with the community and parents and a well defined curriculum. Moreover, I am a published author and a former writer with St. Louis Globe Democrat - Suburban Journals. As a favor to my students, I often evaluate papers for submission. These students will always earn excellent grades.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a successful business woman who has taught for the last 15 years. What makes me successful as a teacher or tudor lies in the fact that I bring concrete proof to the student on what they need to learn. I motivate them to getting through on this study. Although students don't typically like math and accounting I tell them this is a means to an end. So to the parents, I choose to teach and tutor, this means I love motivating the student at all ages. I really enjoy tutoring. I love watching the students gain confidence as we work through the problems. I believe my attitude and approach to teaching helps the students. I provide enough understanding to the students but still challenge them. The worst thing you can do, is just give the answers. I believe everyone wants to learn and do their best, but it is hard when you do not understand what you are trying to do. I enjoy providing that one on one attention to open their minds and show them they can do it.

A Little Bit About Me...

My first teaching experience was as a high school senior where I was given the opportunity to teach a small group of 5th graders as part of the Missouri A+ program. We began with division, quickly moving into linear and nonlinear algebra, before touching on the fundamentals of complex numbers, graph theory and trigonometry, before concluding with a derivation of the quadratic formula and its applications. I spent three semesters as the academic chair for my fraternity enforcing study hours for fraternity brothers with lower GPA’s; tutoring students in algebra, calculus, physics, and computer science, among other fields. I have also had five years of experience in Latin up to the college level with one year of Japanese.
