At Amherst College, we were encouraged to pursue a wide variety of subjects in addition to our major. I studied math for several years, some Biology, Latin and Greek. I had a semester of graduate school at Iowa in Classics. At Tulane, I studied advanced statistics as well as marketing. I had two years of Spanish at DMACC. I discovered the value of education when I was a junior in college. I discovered that I wanted to provide students with the educational support that I never received, or I never took advantage of. I started majoring in biology when I was accepted at The Metropolitan State College of Denver. When I was at Colorado State University, I realized that I would rather teach science than work in a lab. Therefore, I transfered to a school that was more student oriented.
