I have been very successful in academics throughout my education. I was valedictorian of my high school, and I received the top honors in English, French, and Accounting. I also maintained a 4.0 average throughout my college education. I love working with children of all ages and abilities and helping them with academics. I don't believe I have a specific teaching style. I know that I have to be flexible and creative with each student. I enjoyed tutoring college students interested in physics. During my two years of experienced, I learned that students use different approaches solving physics problems. With physics, I try to apply the problem to a real world situation in which the student would be able to relate it to in which will help them fully understand what is being asked. I found it effective to help the students understand the concepts rather than the problem they are trying to solve. I am very patient as long as the student is trying to learn and cares about the work. Mental support of students is half the battle. I am currently a mid-career scientist who is looking to transition into the teaching profession. I have tutored high school and college students for several years in chemistry, algebra, physics, and geometry. I have a BS in Chemistry and have taken additional coursework in chemistry and education.
