ACT is one of my top subjects! Scored a 30 composite with no particular study or test prep.

I employ a personalized teaching style, very interactive. Instead of just answering a question or stating why something is the way it is, we'll work it out so there is real understanding, not just memorization of facts (which will ultimately be forgotten and thus a waste of time.) The focus is more on the method of solving the given problem rather than just the end result whenever possible.
I learned how to play chess about twenty years ago, it's been rather on and off since then. I've steadily improved and tried so many different ways to improve before finding the right method for myself that I'm confident in my many approaches to teaching. A Little Bit About Me...

I have loved teaching and still keep in touch with many of my former students. In fact, I have taught many of their children! I seem to end up helping students with more than just their homework. I have always had a talent for understanding that not everyone "gets it the first time." I had much trouble with science myself.
